fitsio_cat_list: FITS to ASCII catalogues
Describes version 1.0.42The fitsio_cat_list program converts the FITS catalogue tables written by imcore into ASCII, applying all necessary corrections. It is a Fortran program that needs the CFITSIO library. It can be compiled with:
gfortran fitsio_cat_list.f -o fitsio_cat_list -L/sw/lib -lcfitsio -lmand then run as:
fitsio_cat_list catalogue.fitsIt writes a file named catalogue.asc with the following columns: RA and Dec coordinates, x, y, magnitude, magnitude error, chip number, stellar classification, ellipticity and position angle. Additional columns can be added by editing the source code.
From version 1.7 onwards the program uses double precision arithmetic for the relevant part of the astrometric conversion. The original single precision version limited the external accuracy to about 50 to 100 mas, particularly for fields with large RA. The latest version is 1.10 (11 September 2013).
