CAMCEAD launches new website

Our new website is now live at camcead.ast.cam.ac.uk. It brings everything CAMCEAD does into one place: our survey and research projects, software, publications, people, vacancies and news.

The site also reflects how the group has grown under the CAMCEAD name, the Cambridge Centre of Excellence for Astronomical Data. It combines the long experience of the Cambridge Astronomical Survey Unit (CASU) with newer work in AI, machine learning, biomedical imaging and cloud computing.

What is on the new site

• Projects: our current survey and instrument projects, including WEAVE, 4MOST, MOONS, PLATO and Gaia
• Software & Tools: open-source software, documentation and older tools
• Services: user support and computing services, including CamCEADHub and Darkroom
• People: staff profiles and contact details
• Publications: updated automatically from OpenAlex
• News and vacancies: the latest from the group

The old CASU website is closing

The old CASU website at casu.ast.cam.ac.uk will be taken down by the end of July 2026. Please update any bookmarks or links to it. The main resources that were there, such as pipeline documentation, data release pages and software downloads, are being moved to this site and to our GitLab repositories.
